RetroCheaters

Hello, and welcome to RetroCheaters, a site hosted on MultiverseWorks.Com. I will explain what RetroCheaters is.

RetroCheaters is not a regular cheating site, in the way that it does not contain any in-game cheats. Instead, it features cheats in which you would need to edit your savegames. I was always fascinated about cheating in games by changing savegames, because they give lots of possibilities.

I advice you to use the program XVI32 as a hex editor. It is certainly not the best, but there is one feature in it that an alternative might not have. It closes the file right after you loaded it, so that you can load the savegame while the hex editor is still running. If anyone has an alternative, post it in the forums.

You can also post your own findings on the forums. Since most retro games for the computer are abandonware you can find it on most download sites. These sites only feature the games which are not being supported anymore by the developers. If the developer requests their downloads to be taken off, it will be taken off. They would also do that when they hear the developer wants to re-release the game, out of respect for the developer. Search around for abandonware games, because they are still fun to play.

While you're searching for abandonware, it is also wise to download a good MS-DOS emulator. I suggest using a program like VMDSound, but I think DOSBOX might be as good.

Last thing, have fun. Don't post links to sites of downloads unless you're absolutely sure they only bring out abandonware or freeware games.

Oh, and about the Retro part, I also support hex editing tutorials of recent games. I thought RetroCheaters sounded way cooler.
